Top Gear’s Clarkson hurt by The Stig’s decision to out himself

Jeremy Clarkson, presenter of the popular BBC motoring show Top Gear, said he had been hurt and shocked by former Formula Three racing driver Ben Collins’ decision to reveal that he was the man behind the show’s The Stig. In an interview, whilst attending and auction in Oxfordshire, Mr Clarkson said that Mr Collins was also history as far as the show was concerned.
Mr Collins has revealed that he is the man behind the darkened visor because he is trying to get his autobiography published. HarperCollins has apparently paid the stunt driver £250,000 in advance of its publication and has had to meet the BBC in the High Court to prevent an injunction against the memoirs.
The BBC claimed that The Stig was contractually bound not to reveal his identity to anyone. However, the High Court felt it could not uphold this on the grounds of Mr Collins’ right to free speech.
Mr Clarkson said he had been working hard on what should replace The Stig on Top Gear. He added that whatever happened there were countless people queuing up to fill The Stig’s racing suit. He confirmed that he would not be taking over the role because of his age and fellow presenters Richard Hammond and James May would also not be donning the famous white helmet because they are not very good at driving.
One name put forward by Mr Clarkson to take over from The Stig was British PM, David Cameron. I bet he’s a good driver, said Clarkson
"I'm still learning from you, as I'm trying to reach my goals. I certainly liked reading all that is posted on your site.Keep the aarticles coming. I enjoyed it!"
